Radio Frequency Coordination Services

AAR Radio Frequency Coordination provides FCC-certified licensing and frequency coordination services and works. The group, based at TTCI’s Pueblo headquarters, works to ensure the integrity of the radio communications on the North American railways while meeting the FCC requirements for availability of railroad frequencies for other industries when there is no interference with the railway radio usage.

Our TTCI staff is well-versed in FCC Rules and Regulations and assists railroads and other users with two-way radio licensing needs using state of the art propagation and application management software. We are certified to coordinate frequencies in the General Business Pool, and we are the only FCC-designated Frequency Coordinator for railroad frequencies (primarily 160.215-161.610 MHz).
