Closed Car/Trailer/Container Freight Loading Methods

Through established test procedures, the Damage Prevention & Loading Services group develops successful loading methods and evaluates new materials to prevent freight damage and ensure safe movement. The test program focuses on evaluation of boxcar, intermodal, and open top loading methods and associated bracing materials and products. The DP&LS group also provides an engineering resource function for railroads, shippers, and suppliers.
